Another national chain has its sights set on Jasper.
A Ross Dress for Less has begun to process of opening a new location in the former Goody’s store space at North Ridge Shopping Center on Jasper’s northside. Although there is no timetable on when the store will open, the Jasper Board of Zoning Appeals approved a variance requested by Carney Jasper, LLC—the owners of the shopping center which houses Walmart—for a sign that is larger than the city’s sign ordinance allows for the building at last night’s meeting.
Ross focuses on bringing customers a constant stream of high-quality department and specialty store brands at extraordinary savings while providing an easy, fun and organized shopping experience according to the company’s website.
“It’s great to get these shopping center spaces filled,” said Jasper Chamber director Nancy Eckerle. “This really shows a good effort that the owners of these shopping centers are getting them filled with viable stores that we hope will last and be here for a long time.”
Ross Shop for Less is the most recent of national chains that include Harbor Freight, Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft and Rue 21 that have opened in Jasper’s northside shopping complexes.
