The Latino Collaboration Table will host a series of discussions on employment and school relations in the Latino community
The Latino Collaboration Table is an informal group which has been meeting to address the needs of local companies, schools and the Latino community. Local employers and educators have expressed an interest in coming together to address the common challenges of growing and enhancing the Latino population.
Members of this committee include Huntingburg Mayor Denny Spinner, Donna Oeding, Dubois County Health Department Administrative Director, Chad Sickert, Southridge High School Principal, Barb Hopf, People Services Generalist from Jasper Engines and Transmissions, Evelyn Rivas, President of ALASI and Breann Hasenour from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
This group will be hosting a series of conversations to discuss how might we marry/match services the Dubois County employers have with what the Latino Community want and need?
Four sessions will be held:
October 12 from 9-11am for employers
October 12 from 1-3pm for schools
October 13 from 9-11am for employers
October 13 from 1-3pm for employers
The event will be held at the Jasper Engine Training Center located at 3431 Highway 231 and each session will be limited to the first 20 registrants.
