OFS Brands, Inc. announced appointments to key roles in design, marketing and sales operations to further support its agility and people-focused approach in the contract furniture industry.
The appointments align with the company’s strategic approach to provide meaningful products and programs to the ever-changing marketplace and appropriately leverage and scale marketing resources to successfully pursue future initiatives.
In a newly created position, John Phillips joins OFS Brands as the vice president of design development. He will be responsible for the company’s design strategy, development of all new products, product platform strategy, product enhancements and life cycle management.
Phillips will work closely with the company’s established design partners and new collaborations as he maps out the company’s design initiatives.
Possessing an expansive design background in differing industries and design disciplines, Phillips spent over 16 years in the automotive industry designing vehicle exteriors, interiors and components for the top brands in the world.
Phillips has designed consumer products and most recently oversaw seating product development for the past five years for a southern California manufacturer. An awarded designer who is super passionate about design and enjoys the challenge of creating world-class products, Phillips resides in southern California with his family.
Promoted to the position of vice president of brand experience, Stan Gray will be responsible for every touch point of the OFS Brands experience including brand strategy, art direction, interior design, showrooms, trade shows and tours.
With over 20 years in residential and contract furniture, Gray most recently served as OFS Brands’ director of healthcare spearheading key marketing and product initiatives prompting significant growth of one the industry’s most trusted healthcare brands, Carolina. Gray and his family reside in North Carolina.
Accepting the position of director of product application strategies, Vanessa Englert, LEED AP, will oversee marketing operations inclusive of product trends analysis, competitive positioning, gap analysis, product launch and collateral execution.
Leaning on 16 years with OFS Brands and the industry, Englert will also lend her expertise in driving the company’s strategies towards Open Plan product applications. She was instrumental in bringing OFS Brands’ flagship product, Staks, to market. Englert and her family reside in Jasper.
Transitioning to director, channel and communication strategy, Nick Blessinger will be responsible for managing distribution channel programs, vertical market programs, marketing communications, promotions and technology solutions.
He brings 16 years of retail, financial and furniture industry experience in marketing, communications and product development. Blessinger will work closely with sales management and industry partners to drive awareness and strengthen the distribution network. Blessinger and his family reside in Evansville.
Phil Englert, now director of sales operations and training, assumes this new role after 18 years of successful sales growth in the Southeast Region for OFS Brands.
He will leverage his close relationships with customers and industry partners as well as extensive internal systems and operational knowledge to focus on challenge resolution and prevention. Englert will drive continuous improvement in areas that will continue making OFS Brands easy to do business with. Englert will also oversee the company’s sales and product training programs for employees and partners.
