Radius Indiana on Thursday announced that Stacy Shonk has joined the staff as the director of community development, a new position within Radius.
Shonk will work closely with regional communities to support local initiatives that improve and maintain quality of place and help maximize involvement with programs such as Indiana Main Street. In addition, she will offer assistance and education for retail recruitment, especially in downtown and courthouse sectors. She will also help cities and towns connect with state, federal and nonprofit programs for assistance in façade programs.
Shonk will provide statistical analysis and reporting of workforce and economic development data, which will be used in a variety of business development initiatives.
Radius Indiana is a regional partnership representing eight counties in southwest central Indiana: Dubois, Crawford, Daviess, Greene, Lawrence, Martin, Orange and Washington. Formed in 2009, Radius Indiana also serves as a point of contact in Indiana for Naval Support Activity Crane and leads regional collaboration by leveraging the diverse assets of the region to drive attraction, retention and expansion of business, thereby increasing employment and investment opportunities and quality of life.
