Second Dubois County Relocation Impact Grant has been awarded

Dubois Strong, in partnership with The Dubois County Community Foundation and Radius Indiana, has awarded the second Dubois County Relocation Impact Grant.

Lewis and Maryah Acosta are the latest recipients of the Impact Grant which offers $5,000 to 11 people who move to Dubois County and stay for at least two years. The grant is part of the Make My Move/Choose Southern Indiana initiative with TMap to incentivize out-of-state workers to move to Dubois County.

The Acostas have relocated to Dubois County from Tempe, Arizona. Lewis was raised in Florida, but Maryah lived in Southern Indiana as a child and has visited every summer since she was 7. Her father and stepmother currently live in the area.

Lewis will be starting a job as a bilingual Sales Rep for Jasper Engines. He is also taking classes for software engineering. Maryah has a found a position with Adaptive Care and will be starting nursing classes at Vincennes University Jasper.
